A former FBI agent accused of inciting uproarist to attack the police during the riots of January 6, 2021 at the United States Capitol is now serving in the Department of Justice as part of the so -called “Weapons Working Group”, sources familiar with the appointment confirmed to ABC News.
Jared Wise was in trial when he was forgiven as part of the wide series of Indones and switches of President Donald Trump for almost all 1,500 people accused in relation to the Capitol’s attack.
According to the sources, Wise is now serving in the department as an investigator and advisor to Ed Martin, the former interim lawyer of DCU, whose permanent nomination to the position was rejected by Republican senators worried about his last vocal defense for the protesters of January 6 and other controversial actions that he took in Trump’s first four months in the position.

The New York Times first reported Wise’s appointment in the Department of Justice.
Wise was accused in May 2023 And then accusedWith prosecutors who point out videos that shout “Mátls!” Repeatedly when the uproarrs attacked the police outside the Capitol building. Supposedly he also entered the building for approximately nine minutes and then continued shouting to the police.
“You are disgusting,” Wise said in the images of the body recorded by the police. “I am former application of the law. You are disgusting. You are the Nazi. You are the Gestapo. You cannot see it … What a shame! What shame! What shame!”
A spokesman for the Department of Justice declined to comment when asked about Wise’s appointment. Martin also immediately responded to a request for comments.
