R&B singer Angie Stone dies in a car accident at 63

The artist was involved in a fatal car accident at dawn on Saturday in Montgomery, Alabama, said Stone representative, Deborah R. Champagne.

The nearby friend of Stone and former bandmate, Gwendolyn “Blondie” Chisolm of the sequence, identified her body in a Montgomery hospital, said Champagne. Chisolm did not travel with stone at the time of the accident, according to Champagne.

The singer had been scheduled to travel to Baltimore for a part -time presentation at the CIAA basketball conference on Saturday afternoon.

Stone survives a daughter, Diamond Stone, and a son, Michael d’Angelo Archer II.
