A day of quick movement limited the sixth week of the sensational trial that threatens to send Sean “Diddy” to prison for the rest of his life.
Most of the drama was developed after the jury was sent home during the weekend when the judge who supervises the case said he was prepared to accompany the lawsuit of prosecutors to eliminate one of the jury for “lack of frankness” during the jury’s selection.
Prosecutors sought to eliminate the jury because he allegedly made statements to a court officer who suggested that he lived in New Jersey, instead of Bronx, which would do not eligible to serve in a federal jury in Manhattan. The inconsistency expressed concerns about the jury’s qualifications and if he made a deliberate attempt to put the jury, the judge said.
“The changing answers and inconsistency concern the court about deception and lies, which further implies the veracity of other answers, even questions that go to the heart of the case,” said US district judge Arun Subramanian. “The elimination of the jury is required in the opinion of this court.”

With the jury that is expected to begin the deliberations at the end of this month, the defense lawyers of the combs begged the judge to keep the man, a black medium -age man of Bronx, about the jury for the concerns about the diversity of the jury. If the man were retired, it would be replaced by a medium -sized architect from the Northern New York City of Westchester, making the jury a little older and whiter.
The combs defense team made a series of arguments objecting, including that the “lack of frankness” was little more than a stratagema “evening” of prosecutors to get rid of a jury that could sympathize more with the rap magnate.
“It will be a less diverse jury. That is a fact,” said defense lawyer Xavier Donaldson. “Usually, I don’t play the career letter. I’m not saying I’m playing it now.”
The prosecutors concluded a fifth week of testimony on Friday, trying to prove that combs used their commercial empire, wealth and influence to orchestrate a criminal scheme. In the heart of the case there are accusations that the rapper turned into a fashionable Saturday used his business company converted into companies to coerce women in unwanted sex in drug -fed orgies where they were told to get involved with male prostitutes for combs satisfaction.
Combs declared himself innocent of sexual trafficking positions, extortion and transport conspiracy to participate in prostitution. Their lawyers argue that the combs never coerced or trafficked anyone for sexual purposes and that the women who participated in their “polymoric” lifestyle did it voluntarily.
The testimony will resume on Monday when prosecutors call their final witnesses. They could rest their case as soon as Wednesday.
Ye, previously known as Kanye West, makes a surprise appearance in court
In a surprise appearance, Kanye West entered the Federal Court of Manhattan on Friday morning, he said, to show his support for combs. Facing his own controversies, West, who is now called Ye, has been one of the few main celebrities in offering support to combs during the trial.

Upon arriving at a Mercedes-Maybach black sedan, he entered the public entrance of the Daniel Patrick Moynihan justice through a multitude of spectators and media. He wore a completely white outfit and black sunglasses.
Like any other public member, he was asked to remove his belt, emptied the pockets and handed his electronic devices before crossing a metal detector.
“It was treated not different from anyone,” said a federal marshal who helped Comong through security.
They ignored most of the press questions, even if you plan to testify in the case of defense of combs.
“Are you here in support of Mr. Combs?” An ABC news producer asked.
“Yes,” West replied.
They could not enter the courtroom where the trial was carried out because it was not on the list of friends and family for the combs; Instead, he observed from an empty overflow room on the 23rd floor of the court. For approximately 15 minutes, West, his entourage and the son of combs were alone in the overflow room with four court officers. He sat in the front row of the gallery immediately in front of a monitor that shows a diet of the court room.
West representatives did not respond to a request for comments on their visit to the Court.
The federal agent says that 900 Astroglide bottles were seized from the Los Angeles de combs house
During Friday’s testimony, the Special Agent of National Security Research, Andre Lamon, said that combs bought bulk lubricant, and the jury was shown photos of the Los Angeles de combs house to show how baby oil and astroglide, prosecutors said, stored.
Some testimonies in the case have focused on supply combs for their sexual parties.
The jury was shown by prosecutors of 18 boxes of the lubricant stacked one on top of the other in a garage, authlide bottles aligned carefully on shelves, in drawers and in a box of cigarettes, interspersed with bottles of Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil.
Lamon said the agents confiscated 200 bottles of baby oil and 900 bottles of Astroglide lubricant of Sean Com combs during a search in March 2024.
Lamon lifted drug plastic bags, which according to him were seized from the house. The substances included ketamine and MDMA, he testified.
The jury saw photographs of seized firearms agents of the ComBs house, including a bolt -action rifer rifle, Smith & Wesson m& P AR15 SEMIAUTIMATIC RIFLES of AR15 style, a Glock gun and a Mossberg pump shotgun. A separate photograph showed a 60 -round battery magazine loaded with 59 rounds of ammunition from Punta Verde, destined to penetrate the armor of the body.
The boxes containing the real firearms were brought to the courtroom by federal agents so that the jury saw it. Lamon used scissors to open one of the boxes and gloves to handle the gun inside, which he showed for the jury. He stood up to show the jury how the serial number was scratched in the rifle. In the interrogation, he testified that the armament remained in a safe place.

Previously at the trial, the jurors saw similar photos of firearms, drugs and lubricants that were seized from the Miami Combs house. The prosecutors argued that the proximity of weapons in the house of combs to the articles issued for the sexual parties, called “monsters”, demonstrated the coercive nature of the sexual escapes.
The former personal assistant testifies on the ‘King Night’ configuration
The jury listened to Jonathan Pérez on Friday, a fifth personal assistant from combs to testify.
Granted immunity to protect him from being accused of crimes for anything he can say in the witness position, Pérez is the fourth witness during the trial that will be granted immunity.
Like other personal assistants who have appeared, Pérez testified that he bought illegal combs for combs and that the Rap Mogul Gucci bag contained money and drugs, including cocaine, ketamine, molly, Addell and Xanax.
The combs lawyers have recognized that the rapper was a defective and complex man who abused drugs, even when they have insisted that he is not criminal.
The jury saw a text message from another assistant, Rob, who sent a message to Pérez. “You locate your Gucci bag in your bathroom,” the message said. “Make sure it is there, please, and if something is outside and around the things I return, I suppose. Hahaha”
Pérez replied: “I conquered it, without waste and I didn’t steal an Addy.”
Pérez testified that he obtained drugs for the combs “a handful of times”, either buying them or “grabbed someone outside.” He told the jury that he provided the combs with drugs like Xanax, Mollyond Cocaine.
Pérez also told the jury that he communicated with Combs, and helped to facilitate a payment of $ 3,500 for an escort, in June 2024 during one night that another witness testified earlier this week.
Jane, one of combs’s ex -girlfriend, testified that Comed hit her brutally after she started a fight for her alleged infidelity. She told the jury that combs forced her to have sex with a male escort.
Pérez testified that Comink called him that night to tell Jane that Comps did not spend time with another woman in an effort to calm the situation. Later, he said, he helped to provide a $ 3,500 payment for the combs escort.
Prosecutors have argued that ComBs trusted their commercial empire and their employee as Pérez to facilitate a criminal company that used to force women to have sex. To the questions of the combs lawyers, Pérez testified that he established the hotel rooms and obtained drugs as a personal favor for combs that were separated from their professional responsibilities.
